#SaveOurCompost on Instagram: "We have good news to share! GrowNYC received private funding from an anonymous donor that will allow them to continue collecting food scraps at Greenmarkets until the end of June 2024 despite the City budget cut.•Since GrowNYC has received private funding, the Mayor and DSNY now only need to restore $1.75 million in funding to save community composting at Big Reuse, LES Ecology Center, Earth Matter NY, New York Botanical Garden, Queens Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden.•If not, at the end of this month these environmental nonprofits will be forced to layoff 60 staff, cease food scrap collection, eliminate curbside composting outreach, and shut down the hyper local compost processing sites.•We ask that you please continue to urge the Mayor and DSNY Commissioner to restore funding for these seven Compost Project partners." | Zootzle
