Weed on Instagram: "The OceanGate Titan - a new and innovative type of deepwater submersible made of carbon fiber and titanium, built to carry 5 passengers 12,000ft under the surface of the Atlantic Ocean to the wreck of the Titanic. In May of 2021, I travelled to Everett, WA, to film a test dive aboard the Titan, as the beginning to a potential doc about its first Titanic descent, and to interview Stockton Rush about its technology and purpose in development. While that television project never completed, it was exhilarating to experience a dive in this nearly 8' cylinder in Washington's Puget Sound. I took these photos just after my test dive in the sub. As of right now, this sub has lost communication after 1 hour and 45 minutes into a dive down to the Titanic. Contact was lost more than 24 hours ago. My heart goes out to the passengers and crew currently aboard, and I hold hope that they will be rescued safely." | Zootzle
