LA County Sheriff's Department on Instagram: "#Repost Yesterday, 01/21/24, at around 4:40 PM, our station received a call from a concerned citizen. The citizen told our dispatchers they were observing an unattended toddler, precariously lying on the swimstep of a power boat located in B Basin. Our Harbor Patrol boat, as well as assisting patrol units, quickly responded the location and discovered the toddler alone on the boat.Fearing the worst, deputies requested additional resources to search for the toddlers missing guardian(s). An underwater search, by LACoFD Lifeguards, was also conducted. After being medically assessed by LACoFD personnel, the toddler was eventually turned over to the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services. The guardians of the toddler were later located and arrested for child endangerment. We would like to thank our community members for SEEING SOMETHING AND SAYING SOMETHING!In this instance they most likely saved the life of an innocent toddler." | Zootzle
