The Giving Pies on Instagram: "As you may know, I am from Madagascar (born and raised in France but of Malagasy descent). In 2018, we traveled to South Africa and visited the Iziko Slave Lodge, where we learned that so many people from Madagascar were captured and transited through Cape Town to be sent to the US and other countries to work as slaves. It was an uneasy feeling to read all the testimonies, but it made me proud that somehow, the hands of my people were somewhat involved in building the great country that we now live in. So let's never forget, but let's be grateful for each other for what we bring to each other through our different backgrounds and cultures. Let's celebrate together this month and learn from the heritage of the Black culture! #BlackHistoryMonth #SupportBlackBusiness #SweetTraditions #blackowned #blackownedbusiness" | Zootzle
