â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸Updated Information from the Brazoria County Sheriffâs Office as of 7:22 pm.â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸On December 17, 2023 at 5:13pm Brazoria County Sheriffâs Office received a call of an escaped inmate, Robert Dean Yancy Jr. from the Texas Department of Corrections, Clemens Unit near Brazoria, Texas. Yancy was serving a life sentence for Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child out of Victoria County, Texas. During a preliminary investigation it was determined that Yancy escaped at approximately 3:38pm and left the prison in a white 2021 Nissan Versa, Texas license plate #DNR9145. The Brazoria County Sheriffâs Office immediately entered the license plate in to a state-wide license plate reader system and soon after received a hit indicating the vehicle was in Victoria County at approximately 6:09 pm. All information obtained at this point leads us to believe Yancy is no longer in Brazoria County. The Brazoria County Sheriffâs Office is coordinating with other State and Federal agencies so that Yancy can be quickly apprehended. Priestle has an address in Victoria. Yancy is charged with Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child and was serving a sentence of life without parole.
