Angus King on Instagram: "Covered some ground in Maine this week, starting with sunrise on the coast. Next (swipe left) is the amazing 3D printed house at Orono which was printed in the University’s composites lab (which has the largest 3D printer in the world) using wood waste and corn as the “goop” to do the printing. Exciting on many levels—possible help with Maine’s affordable housing crisis as well as a new use for the products of our forests. After the shot of the interior of the house is the wonderful antique skimobile museum next to the Northern Timber Cruisers clubhouse just outside Millinocket, and (of course) a view of Katahdin across Millinocket lake, then some nice shots of Bigelow taken by Mary, and, finally, living proof that cats and dogs can peacefully coexist (why can’t we?).Also visited Milo (don’t miss Elaine’s donuts!), Dover Foxcroft, Farmington, Medway, East Millinocket and points in between.
